*BMEC stands for Building Material Evaluation Commission, which is determined to be required by regional municipalities only, and an additional requirement to the Ontario Building Code (OBC). Rails with metal in the balusters (Patent Pending) comply with this additional requirement. All other railings that are non-decorative fully comply with loading requirements of the O.B.C. All railings are sold in pre-made sections, see installation guide for assembly on site.
